Have Bus, Will Travel
As the rest of New York slept, thousands of Irish people crept out of
their slumber and boarded a convoy of buses that left the Bronx, Rockland
and Queens for the ILIR rally in Washington, D.C. GEORGINA BRENNAN was
on board one bus for a mini-rally before reaching the nation’s capital.
‘I Became a Part of History’
Tired after a full morning of lobbying on Capitol Hill, the best was yet
to come for the ILIR activists at the back of the room for the afternoon
rally back at the Holiday Inn. GEORGINA BRENNAN reports.
